Where is she, Joel?

For those of you who don't know, my brother-in-law is determined I am to have the baby on March 20th. Yes, that would be today. Let me be honest, I joke that he is wrong, but in truth, I want him to be right! In fact, I think the more I tell him there is no way, it will spontaneously happen this afternoon. That would be great!

Joel, where is she? I thought you said I was going to have Hannah on the 20th. Well, guess what?! The 20th has arrived. I admit, it is early and you still have the rest of the day to be right. In fact, you have 14 1/2 hours to be on target. I have started the count down. Let's all keep in mind, she still has not dropped, and there are no signs of labor in site!

Joel, just for you, I plan to walk briskly, maybe get a pedicure after work, and eat something spicey to see if I can help out. I would hate for you to be wrong. That's just the kind of sister-in-law I am. Give, give, give... That's me.

We are all hoping that he is right! Do some jumping jacks--maybe she will shift down ;-)

...maybe take the corvette off-roading. That couldn't hurt.

Off-road the Corvette... Let's play this out.

It's been raining for 24 hours. Considering I can get the entire car into the mud by performing some sort of "Bo and Luke" maneuver we will then be hopelessly stuck. So now the outside of the car is dirty.

Considering this plays out according to Uncle Joel's plan, Juli's water will break, making a mess of the interior. Btw... is it really water? How easily does that clean? I'm obviously lacking on some important decision making information from the start.

I'll then call an ambulance for my wife and another ambulance for my car. What happens if the people ambulance gets there first? Do I wait on the car ambulance? Do I go with my wife and child in the people ambulance? Should I have called the car ambulance first knowing that it will take it 45 minutes to arrive and a people ambulance would get there in 40 minutes? Come to think of it... I guess I really do have time to have a pizza delivered... thirty minutes or less! Man I am hungry... but what kind of pizza should I order?!?

These are truly life's hardest questions and I'm not ready to take that test. I better take a pass on your idea Joel.

that would definitely be amusing if the people ambulance got there first. I can see your brain cranking away trying to decide whether to stay with the corvette or Juli.

In the end, though, you cannot leave the corvette alone. You just don't know what would happen to it. Better to play it safe and wait for the car ambulance...
