Well, you are not going to believe this. Jim and I went to the hospital last night. I got checked in and they started the process of softening my cervix. I sent Jim home to get some sleep, since there was really nothing for him to do at the hospital. About midnight, the nurse came in to give me another pill( I was supposed to have three), when my doctor called. He asked her to check me and call him back. Much to our surprise, he decided not to give me the second pill.
After a rough night's sleep( I was hooked up toa fetal monitor, some other monitor, a blood pressure cuff, and an IV), I was seen by the doctor this morning( from a far). He is sick and has to send me home since my pressure is under control and the baby's heartbeat is great. Yes, I am back home resting and waiting for Hannah. There is no telling when she will arrive now.
On the bright side, my cervix did soften, which has finally caused some minor contractions. Did I ever mention that I hadn't even had a contraction yet? Well, I hadn't. Now, I am having some baby ones that are consistently two minutes apart. At least they were this morning. This means that the doc could have done enough to get things started. This is a good thing. Of course, since he is sick, someone else will have to deliver Hannah. I hope he gets better soon. Otherwise, I go back to the doctor's office on Friday to be check out. Again, this depends on his health. Crazy timing.
I don't feel like I can get upset, because I got sick also. In fact, I had a couple of friends who wanted to meet Hannah call in sick. Obviously, there is something going around. at least I should have enough time to recover before she gets here. Right now, I have a cold.

The princess will come when she is ready to see her mommy and daddy. As long as she is ok, she can't be in a better place,you. It's nice and warm and she is near you.

Juli is obviously handling this much better then me. I'm very disappointed. I was ready to see the princess today...
As for an April 1 delivery... that would just be funny because all along I've been saying that I didn't want her born on my birthday so she could have her own day... but a friend of Juli's mentioned that she might really be thrilled to have the same birthday as her dad. If that's the case then I will happily let go of my fried chicken birthdays for Miss Hannah!
What great parents you two will be.
