Corvette Dreams

Joel has now decided I should take the vette off road. I will say this, my friend Erecka actually went into labor after a friend took her for a fast ride in his vette. However, he did not have to go off roading to make it happen. In fact, she told him the bumpy ride was all it took.

So Joel, you could be on to something. Maybe Jim should speed his way toward the hospital. That way, if we get pulled over by the police, we can simply say I am 9 months pregnant and we are headed to the hospital. That should totally get us out of a ticket.

Now, when the cop leads us to the hospital, we'll totally have to play along and let them check me out. They may laugh at us and run us out when they discover I am not even dialated. Who knows, they may look at my stomache and say "You know, the Baby needs to drop first dear! Go home and relax." in fact they could ask about labor pains, and I would have to tell them, I haven't had any. Then, we could really be in trouble. I guess I could fake a few. Wendy, any ideas on how to do that? You are working on #3, you should have some ideas.

So, when I truly go into labor, no one at the hospital will believe me, and Jim and I will be the laughing stalks of Irving Baylor Hospital. I will probably be dialated to a 9 and they will send me home saying, " Poor dear, just doesn't have a clue." They won't even check. Jim may be stuck with me in his vette having the baby. Of course, since they don't let you eat while in labor at the hospital, I think the pizza delivery is a great idea! A girl gets hungry, you know.

Thanks Joel, now I can't show my face at the hospital because Jim took me for a ride in the vette.

Hospitals are overrated anyways. Just deliver the baby at home. They did it like that for thousands of years.

Climb into the corvette and have Jim do some donuts in the neighborhood until it's time - I would estimate somewhere between 1 minute and 4 hours.

And, if you have to use the excuse of being on the way to the hospital to the cops, the nurses at the hospital won't be able to tell that you aren't having contractions until they hook you up to the machines.

And don't worry--you can cry wolf all you want and the nurses will never turn you away. Trust me, I went to the hospital twice before the real thing with Miriam, and they were very nice each time. Now they may write mean things about you on your chart but who cares;-)

OMG! You guys are totally cracking me up!! Jim could deliver the baby.. come on, how hard could it be?!! :) Laile mentioned just having Meghan at home when I was in labor and aside from my labor pains I think I said he was crazy and tried laugh it out..
ON the whole vette thing.. it is true just the bumpy ride could help... I went on a motorcycle ride the night before I went into labor with Bryanna. That was 2 days after her supposed "due date"
