Trying to Walk

I think we are still a long way off, but Hannah is practicing to walk. She will pull herself up on a table and work her way around it. She will also hold onto you, then try to walk towards you. The funniest is when she let's go so she can stand on her own. It lasts basically 5 seconds before she falls.

Hannah has also manuevered the step up to the kitchen. For those who have never been to Bill and Betty's, the living room is a step down. Before, we could contain Hannah to the living room. We now have to make sure everything is put up, because you don't know where she will be. It's great in the sense that I no longer have to entertain her while in the kitchen. She had grown bored of the excer-saucer. It didn't allow her the freedom she wanted. I was really scrambling to keep her occupied. Now, she plays with the liter bottles on the floor. Everything is more fun than a toy. Why is that?

Getting back into the living room came with a lot of thought. You could see the wheels turning while Hannah assessed the situation. She dangled a leg off the step, then did a tuck and roll. You should have seen the look of pride on her face when she realized it worked without injury. Don't get me wrong, she realizes there is a better way, she just doesn't know what it is yet. I can't wait for her to discover it, and I am certain she will very soon.
