House Hunting

Jim and I have been house hunting for the past 7 weeks. When we find a house we like, it goes before we have a chance to look at it for a second time. Yesterday, we received a call from our realtor, Penny. Evidently, the first house we wanted to buy, which is a forclosure is not selling. Their realtor has asked us to resubmit our offer. For those who don't know, they tried to mess with us. They increased their counter instead of going down. Needless to say, we walked away. Now, they are begging us to resubmit. The second house we wanted to put a contract on, received a contract the day before. Well, guess what... The buyers are having issues selling their house. The deal fell through. They have had to put a contingency in their contract. this means if Jim adn I want, we can negotiate a contract and force the buyers to either buy now, or drop their contract and let us buy it. Third, there was a house Penny wanted to show us but it too, had a contract on it. This has fallen through. We are going to view it today. Supposedly, this is the house for us. Let's hope Jim and I will be able to pick a home this weekend.

Every Saturday morning I tell Hannah we are going to find her a house. I can't wait for this to be true. I really want her to have a nursery. I also want to place her in a daycare that is convenient. Jim drives her to Irving and I usually pick her up. It is quite a hike to keep her in her daycare. We are ready to get back to normal.

Hannah has been quite the trooper. She seems to enjoy house hunting. Lately, we have been leaving he with Uncle John and Aunt Dedra. They love having her. We are actually leaving her with Uncle John today. We are celebrating his Birthday today, so I figure the joys of watching Hannah should be his present. Nice of me, huh? It is actually my sister's Birthday today. She turns 40!!!! John's Birthday is on the 22nd. He's going to be 39! Yes, that means I am going on 38! Scary thought. The big 40 is looming. Jim is really going to rub that in when the time comes.
