One Month Check Up

Hannah had her one month check up today. Poor girl had to get a shot. I hate to tell her, but there are many more to come in the future. The nurse and I were debating how much she would weigh. I said 10 lbs and the nurse thought 9.5 lbs. Well, Hannah came right in the middle at 9lbs and 13 ozs. She is growing big time. Jim and I were also able to take her off soy. Yuck!! It stinks and it stains everything. It wasn't doing her any good, so the doc said we could go back to the cow milk based formula. It is much easier to deal with. Plus, the BM's don't smell as bad. Those who used soy, know what I am talking about.

Little Hannah also grew to 21 inches. The doc said she was perfectly healthy and very alert. She proved her ability to focus. Way to go, Hannah! The doc put her on meds for the acid reflux, so hopefully that will cut down on some of the colicky behavior. Who knows. A woman at the office told me of an oil she uses with her three children. I may give it a shot. Don't worry, you don't ingest it. She said it works wonders for stomach aches. I'll have to update you on its effects later. I need to look into it first.

We are still waiting for Amanda to arrive. Hannah and I went shopping for her Birthday. Can't wait to meet her. Poor Wendy is ready to pop. I think she'll go by Friday. Let's hope I am right, or Wendy will have to wait until Monday...

She is getting big! What percentile was she? Despite Amanda being my third, the thought of having a 10 lb baby in a month are a little freaky to me.

She is in the 65th percentile for weight and height.
