Jim took Sarah in for her 9 month well visit, since I was in El Paso. Yes, El Paso for work. Anyway, Our little one is 28 inches long and weighs a little over 18 lbs. She's growing fast. Sarah was still having issues with her ears and allergies, so the doc gave her a script for Singulair. She is doing wondefully on it. Poor Sarah didn't get to go out much because of her allergies. Finally, we'll be able to let her enjoy the sun.
Sarah is now at the age where she can really interact with Hannah. They love to play together( as much as they can). Of course, Hannah spends most of her time telling Sarah not to put things in her mouth, or to leave her toys alone. It's hard to tell a 2 yr old not to poach toys from the baby. Obviously, we're learning to share. It's a slow process, I guess. I love to hear Hannah say Sarah's name. It cracks me up. " No, Sarwa." Don't have the "R's" down quite yet. It's really cute!
Hannah has been potty training this summer. We finally took the pull ups away and gave her panties. We do still use the pull ups for special circumstances and night time. She is doing great! She has been in panties for a weeka dn a half now. She still has accidents when a #2 is involved, but for the most part, she's doing great! I am very proud of her. She's pretty excited about it herself.
Hannah has become quite the good mommy. She loves to take care of her baby dolls. She changes their diapers, she feeds them, she undresses them... Then, she practices on Sarah. The only scary part is when she tries to pick her up, and when she tries to feed her. Sarah doesn't have teeth yet, so there are just some things she can't eat. Unfortunately, Hannah is not aware of that fact. She wants Sarah to eat what she's eating. See, I told you we were working on sharing.
So far, the summer has been nice. Hannah is taking swim lessons on Saturdays, and Sarah and Jim have a play date. We haven't been to the park much, but that is due to the heat. Luckily, our city has splashgrounds for the little ones. We can take them there instead of the pool. They can run around and let the water hit them. It's pretty fun. Soon, we will have Madeleine, Miriam, and Amanda for the weekend. Well, Wendy is letting Madeleine and Miriam spend the night. We can't wait. We plan to enjoy the pool, the splashground and the movie room. Hannah can't wait for her cousins to get here. And yes, Kyle will come over to play also. It should be a fun weekend. We'll take some picks and blog.
