The cousins come for a visit

Wendy, her sister Sarah, and the girls decided to drive through Dallas on their way home from Lubbock. Hannah had Roseola, so we were hesitant at first. We didn't want to get anyone sick. As luck would have it, her fever broke Saturday, and everyone decided to come over and play. Miriam and Madeleine spent the night with us. It was definitely a full house. I put Wendy, Sarah, and Cristy to work, while Jim and Jay watched Kyle and the girls. They hung a curtain rod and some shelves for me. Finally, Hannah's room looks together. Thanks, Ladies!

The next day we made pancakes. Everyone enjoyed. Sarah fell asleep, so Jay, Cristy, and Jim took the girls swimming. I stayed behind and basked in the silence that was my house for about two hours. Sarah was really tired! When everyone came home, we got ready to make pizzas. I think the girls really enjoyed making their own pizzas. The adults got pretty creative. We used jalapeno/artichoke dip as a base for one of the pizzas. Sounds weird, but it was really yummy. After that, Jim made homemade ice cream. It doesn't get any better than that.

Hannah was so exhausted, she grabbed my hand and led me to my room so she could take a nap. This girl never naps. I'm telling you, she was worn out. I cat napped myself. It was a wild and crazy weekend, but we will cherish it. I am so glad everyone got to come over and play.

I apologize that everyone except Sarah and Madeleine got Roseola! Who knew? When you read about it, it says they are most contagious before the fever. Well, sounds like they are contagious after the fever as well. Too bad we couldn't get a pic of all the cousins with their spots. How Sarah didn't get it, I'll never know. I am hoping everyone is now healthy and ready for more summer fun.
