Hannah really enjoyed turning two. She had a party at her new school with cupcakes and a posterboard all about her. She called the day "Happy Hannah." She left out the birthday part. I think it's a hard word for her to say. The next day, we had a little party for her. Most of our family and four of Hannah's playmates were there. We had a bounce house, scoop the tractor, and her play slide for the kids to play on. They loved it!
Jim and I made Bunny cupcakes. Did I mention Hannah is totally into cupcakes? She wants to wear her cupcake pj's, her cupcake sweater, and her cupcake socks all the time. She wore her cupcake bow to the party. The sweater has now been put up until Sarah can wear it. The rest is still fair game. Anyway, we also made chocolate cupcakes with creamcheese frosting for the adults. I"m still eating bunny cupcakes. The others are long gone.
Hannah loves being the center of attention and opening presents. This was a really good weekend for her. She squealed with delight when she opened every toy and every new outfit. Yes, Hannah loves clothes. I have taught her well...
At Hannah's check up, the doctor said she was super, super smart. He expected her to speak two word sentences, and Hannah is almost speaking, if not already speaking complete sentences. See, my big mouth has helped mold an intelligent child. We also had her height and weight checked. She's 36 inches tall, and 28 lbs and 4 oz. Doc says she is going to always be a tall kid, but we won't know her height until puberty hits. If you go by the wives tale about doubling her height, then she will be 6 feet tall. Let's hope she stays under the 6 foot mark.
We thank everyone who came to the party and made it such a success. We had a great time. I'd pick out better pics, but for some reason, they aren't pulling up.
