I can't believe Sarah will be here in one week. Let's face it, I will probably not be lucky enough to have her come early. My girls are fashionably late. Of course, Jim would prefer her to come on the 24th, which is our actual due date and scheduled C-section date. This way, I can take more of December off. In theory, it is better for me to wait. For comfort's sake, get this kid out of my belly!!!!! I am ready to breathe better, hold Hannah better, and let's face it, have energy to do just about anything better.
I walk everyday with my friend Lisa, hoping it would promote labor. I moved some very heavy furniture on Monday with my friend Erecka ( yes, she fought me the whole way) in hopes to promote labor. What else could I possibly do? With Hannah, I tried pedicures, massages, nothing worked. And if you're thinking what I think you are thinking, yes, I tried that also. Nope, it didn't work. So, I am resigned to think Sarah will be here on the 24th as scheduled. At least that gives us a whole week to come up with a middle name.
We have been reading about being a big sister to Hannah. We asked her today if she was going to be a big sister. She replied "No..." Daycare asked as well. "No..." I'll be interested to see how she reacts to the newest addition to the family. At least she can't speak well enough to ask us to take the baby back. I know she is so young, she won't remember life without her little sister, but I still wonder how the first six months willl go. We'll just have to wait and see what fun awaits us.
