Hannah's 15 Month Check-Up

Hannah had her well visit last Friday. It took forever to get her shots since we switched doctors. I moved Hannah to a Pediatrician in Frisco, since we will be living there very soon. In fact, we now own a home in Frisco. Yes, miracles do happen. We got the house we have been waiting on for the past 8 months. Anyway, back to Hannah. The new office needed her shot records but it was a holiday. Finally, her daycare faxed over her records so we were able to get them. I'm sure Hannah would have preferred to wait until 18 months. Too bad, Hannah, I need your shot records updated so you can start your new daycare.

First, they weighed and measured Hannah. She is 24 lbs 6 ozs and 32 inches tall. That puts her in the 75th %tile for weight and 95th %tile for height. She also has a big head at 18 1/2 inches placing her in the 75th to 90th %tile. It's that active brain she has been using. It keeps growing. Dr. Newton says she is a very healthy and smart girl. Supposedly, she should know how to say about 5 or 6 words. Hannah uses around 15 to 20. Keep in mind, she is not quite saying them clearly or correctly. She does say them, though. I have tried to figure out how many words she knows, but she keeps adding to the list. I can't keep up. Just yesterday, she added "cluck." Hannah was looking at a book that had chickens in the picture. See, I told you she was smart.

The only other thing we learned is that Hannah is cutting 5 teeth, including a molar. She is in dire need of some more teeth. Hannah has only had 6 teeth since she turned 9 months. Jim and I were wondering why she was waking up early. Well, there you go! She has been teething. Hopefully, we won't have too many sleepless nights from tooth pain. It's a good thing Motrin was invented. I don't know what we would do without it.
