Hannah had a bad fall yesterday morning. We were walking to the car, when she decided to play and sprinted for the backyard. She was carrying a bag of magazines at the time. Needless to say, while running, she fell. Hannah bit into her tongue, leaving a huge gash. It was horrible! I clreaned her up and she seemed fine. Unfortunately, she couldn't eat and kept crying at daycare. She lasted fifteen minutes before I picked her back up.
Jim watched Hannah in the morning, because I had to run to Keller for work. He said she would just cry from the pain. My poor baby!! Really, it was bad. It hurt to look at it. Jim fed her some eggs and tried to get her to drink, but she couldn't drink from a sippy cup or her bottle. He took Hannah to the swing and she fell asleep. He put her down, and got thirty minutes free for work. Whew.
I made it home in the afternoon and gave Jim a break so he could get some work done. Before I did, I went to the store and bought ice cream and Popsicles. I was told to feed her cold stuff. Well, at dinner time, I decided to try the asparagus ravioli I had made the night before. She was eating okay, until Jim decided to give her a taste of a vanilla shake. She grabbed the cup and poured it all over herself and the tray, soaking her food. No worries, she still ate it. Evidently, the ice cream livened up the taste of the ravioli. Hannah had the best meal ever. At least, in her mind.
If you ask me, I think children eat weirder stuff than pregnant women. We get the bad rap, but I don't do pickles and ice cream, let alone asparagus! I just eat pickles!
